The Victoria County Sheriff's Office (VCSO) presently employs over 160 full-time employees and 20 volunteer reserve officers, dedicated to protect and serve the citizens of Victoria County.

The VCSO is a 147,000 square foot building of law enforcement offices as well as the detention center, which can house up to 524 inmates. The VCSO fleet operations division consists of 64 vehicles, including 2 Jeeps, 3 transport vans.

Computer technology is commonplace in day-to-day operations within the Sheriff's Office. Technology has been upgraded to include modern communications and global positioning systems, with a computer terminal in every patrol car. Law enforcement centers across the county stay in instant contact with one another. Detention officers use an inkless electronic fingerprinting system, which is capable of providing positive identification on incarcerated subjects. Our lobby also features an electronic kiosk for depositing funds to inmates for their purchase of calling cards or other items.

Victoria County is a unique place filled with warm smiles and an enormous amount of hospitality. Our doors are open and we invite you to visit us next time you are in the Victoria County area.
