Paying Property Taxes

Methods of Payment accepted are: Cash, Check, Money Order, Cashier's Check, Travelers Check and Credit Card.

A $30.00 service charge will be added to any check returned by your bank for any reason.

Partial payments are accepted.

-Bureau Code 1071003 will be needed to make any payments
-There will be a convenience fee of 2.30% minimum of $1.00 on debit/credit cards
-There is a flat fee of $1.50 when payment is made with an Electronic Check.

Delinquent Tax Information
If property taxes are delinquent, property owners can make installment payments.
The property owner must sign an installment agreement with the delinquent tax attorneys. Contact 855-650-5848

Our Responsibilities

The Major tax duty of an assessor-collector is the collection of property tax as established by the Constitution and the State Property Tax Code. In addition, as an agent of the Texas Department of Transportation, the assessor-collector is responsible for the registration and licensing of motor vehicles owned by residents of the county. The Victoria County Tax Assessor-Collector also issues permits for the Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission.

Property values are set by the Victoria County Appraisal District.
Tax statements are generated in house and go out to property tax owners in October of a taxing year.
